Most companies use plastic, but not Hawk, we make our derailleur pulleys out of Alloy 7505. This produces a derailleur pulley that will last longer and still be lighter than most brands.

Our derailleur pulleys are best known for there ability to reduce friction. There was even an independent study conducted, by friction-facts, back in 2013 that named us the #1 non-ceramic derailleur pulley on the market.
NOTE: If you use a Shimano/Campy set up, you will need to purchase the Shimano version derailleur pulley. If you use a SRAM set up, you will need to ensure you select the SRAM version derailleur pulley. This version comes with a bushing that allows you to compensate for the two different screw sizes of some SRAM set ups.
